Kemenangan Kelas Menengah : Kajian Strukturalisme Genetik Terhadap Novel Alice's Adventure Karya Lewis Caroll

ABSTRAK
Tesis berjudul Kemenangan Kelas Menengah: Kajian Strukturalisme Genetik Terhadap Novel Alice’s Adventure in Wonderland Karya Lewis Caroll ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan pembagian kelas sosial dan gagasan utama dalam novel Alice’s Adventure in Wonderland dalam hubungannya dengan kelas sosial Inggris pada era Victoria. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori Strukturalisme Genetik yang dicetuskan oleh Lucien Goldmann. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa tokoh-tokoh, latar, dan alur dalam novel tersebut menggambarkan pembagian kelas sosial. Gagasan utama novel tersebut adalah kemenangan kelas menengah Inggris pada era Victoria.

ABSTRACT

The objective of thesis entitled “Middle Class Victory Genetic Structuralism Analysis toward Lewis Caroll’s Novel Alice Adventure in Wonderland” is to reveal the social class and the main idea of Alice’s Adventure in Wonderland in its relationship with social class. The analysis of this thesis uses Lucien Goldmann’s Genetic Structuralism theory. The result of the analysis indicates that the characters, setting, and plot in Alice’s Adventure in Wonderland is a representation of class conflict in Victorian Era. The main idea of Alice’s Adventure in Wonderland is England’s middle class victory in Victorian era.
